About Kivu Choice

Kivu Choice is Rwanda’s largest protein producer and one of Africa’s fastest-growing aquaculture companies. Founded in 2022, Kivu Choice is the sister company to Victory Farms, East Africa’s leading aquaculture platform based in Kenya.

The company operates a fully vertically integrated aquaculture model, including hatchery operations, cage-based grow-out, processing, distribution, and sales. Kivu Choice currently employs over 700 people and plans to grow to 1,200 employees within the next three years, reinforcing its commitment to inclusive economic development and job creation.

Over the next five years, Kivu Choice aims to become Africa’s largest and most sustainable protein producer, delivering over 30,000 tons of fish annually for both the Rwandan market and regional exports.


Program Overview

As part of its talent development strategy, Kivu Choice is recruiting highly motivated Aquaculture Interns to join the Graduate Aquaculture Learning and Training (GALT) Programme for 2026–2028.

This program targets outstanding university graduates with strong academic performance and limited or no practical work experience, offering a unique opportunity to gain hands-on exposure across multiple areas of the aquaculture value chain. Participants will rotate through different departments over two years before selecting a long-term career path within the company, subject to performance and business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (A1 or A0) with Second Class Upper or above in:

    • Aquaculture

    • Animal Production

    • Environmental Science

    • Crop Production

    • Veterinary Medicine

    • Agronomy

    • Or any other related field

  • Must have graduated within the last five (5) years

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • Self-driven, innovative, and committed to excellence

  • Strong interest in aquaculture and agribusiness
