Position Overview
KFHRF is seeking two motivated Tutorial Assistants to support the BSc (Hons) in Midwifery program at Africa Health Sciences University.
The role involves:
Supporting teaching and learning activities
Assisting in clinical instruction
Providing student mentorship
Supporting academic program coordination
This position contributes directly to developing Rwanda’s future midwifery workforce.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Academic Support
Assist in preparing and delivering:
lectures
seminars
practical sessions
Provide tutorial sessions and academic support to students
Offer feedback on assignments and guide student learning
Curriculum & Learning Materials
Support development and updating of:
lecture notes
presentations
online learning materials
Clinical Training & Supervision
Supervise students during:
skills lab sessions
clinical placements
Ensure adherence to professional standards
Facilitate integration of theory and practical skills
Academic Administration
Assist in scheduling:
classes
exams
academic activities
Maintain accurate records of:
attendance
grades
academic performance
Prepare and submit monthly activity reports
Mentorship & Collaboration
Act as mentor and advisor to students
Participate in:
faculty meetings
curriculum discussions
Collaborate with midwifery faculty
Liaise with clinical partners including King Faisal Hospital
Minimum Qualifications
Registered Midwife with valid license in Rwanda
Currently employed at King Faisal Hospital Rwanda
Master’s degree in Midwifery or related field
Minimum 2 years clinical experience in midwifery
Strong background in maternal and neonatal care
Teaching or mentoring experience (added advantage)
Excellent English communication skills
