About the Organization

Icyerekezo SACCO Nyarugenge (ISN) is a Savings and Credit Cooperative established on 10th December 2024 and licensed by the National Bank of Rwanda following the merger of ten Umurenge SACCOs in Nyarugenge District.

Headquartered in Nyakabanda Sector, the SACCO aims to provide accessible and reliable financial services to its members and clients.

Position Overview

The Branch Business Manager will oversee daily branch operations, ensure financial performance, manage staff, and drive business growth through member mobilization and service delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily branch operations and ensure efficiency

• Approve branch expenses and financial transactions within limits

• Conduct daily cash checks and approve teller closures

• Prepare periodic operational and financial reports

• Supervise and manage branch staff performance

• Promote SACCO products and services within the community

• Plan and forecast branch revenues, expenses, and cash flow

• Review and approve loan analysis and contracts

• Manage loan-related issues including delinquency and rescheduling

• Chair the Branch Credit Committee

• Ensure compliance with internal controls and operational policies

• Strengthen internal control systems and financial accuracy

• Maintain strong relationships with members and stakeholders

• Implement strategic plans and Board decisions

• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in:

  • Economics

  • Business Administration

  • Finance

  • Accounting

  • Management

  • Commerce or Entrepreneurship
    (First or Second Class Upper Division is an added advantage)

• Minimum 3 years of experience in banking or microfinance

• Maximum age: 45 years

• Strong knowledge of:

  • Banking and microfinance operations

  • Loan management and savings policies

  • Financial management and budgeting

• Excellent:

  • Leadership and team management skills

  • Customer service orientation

  • Organizational and multitasking abilities

• Language requirements:

  • Fluent in English and Kinyarwanda

  • French is an added advantage
