Job Overview
RwandAir Ltd, the flag carrier airline of Rwanda, is seeking a Manager, Commercial Business Intelligence to lead its commercial analytics function. The role will provide actionable insights, reporting frameworks, and performance monitoring to support data-driven decision-making across sales, network, pricing, distribution, loyalty, and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and delivery of commercial performance dashboards and automated reporting tools.
Collaborate with Finance, Revenue Accounting, Sales, Marketing, and RM teams to ensure accurate revenue reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Provide executive-level insights, scenario planning, and strategic support for route launches, network expansion, pricing, and new commercial initiatives.
Maintain data integrity across airline commercial systems (PSS/DCS, MIDT, CRM, BI tools) and ensure compliance with governance standards.
Monitor commercial KPIs, benchmark performance against industry peers, and support ad hoc strategic projects.
Drive adoption of BI tools and provide training and capacity building for end users.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Finance, or related field.
7–10 years’ experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Commercial Analytics, preferably in the airline industry.
Proficiency in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) and experience with airline commercial systems (PSS/DCS, MIDT, BSP, CRM).
Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and commercial performance measurement skills.
Familiarity with SQL, large datasets, and data quality management.
Skills & Personal Attributes
Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Advanced proficiency in data visualization and Excel modeling.
Knowledge of airline commercial metrics (RASK, CASK, LF, yield, revenue mix).
Excellent communication and presentation skills for executive audiences.
Working knowledge of Python or R for data analysis is an advantage.
