Job Overview
RwandAir Ltd, the national flag carrier of Rwanda, operates domestic and international passenger and cargo services across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. As part of its expansion strategy, RwandAir is seeking a qualified and experienced Business Intelligence Manager to lead and shape the organization’s business intelligence strategy.
The role focuses on transforming complex operational, commercial, cargo, passenger, and maintenance data into actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Data Management & Governance
Ensure high data quality, integrity, and security through effective data governance and stewardship processes.
Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and data warehousing solutions.
Analytics & Reporting
Develop executive dashboards, KPIs, and reports related to passenger flow, on-time performance, revenue, operations, and customer satisfaction.
Apply advanced analytics techniques such as forecasting, modeling, and experimentation to address business challenges.
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with commercial, operational, airport, and airline teams to translate business needs into analytics solutions.
Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Manage external BI partners, vendors, and contractors.
Strategy & Leadership
Develop and execute a Business Intelligence roadmap aligned with commercial, operational, and safety objectives.
Lead, mentor, and manage BI analysts and data engineers.
Promote adoption of modern BI platforms, cloud analytics, and scalable data architectures.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience working with Business Intelligence systems.
At least 3 years of managerial and leadership experience.
Skills & Personal Attributes
Strong expertise in BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau, with advanced SQL skills.
Knowledge of data warehousing and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Snowflake, or similar).
Experience with advanced analytics, including predictive modeling and AI/ML.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical teams and senior leadership.
Analytical mindset, problem-solving ability, adaptability, and strategic thinking.
Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and project coordination skills.
