Position: Logistics Officer
Job Purpose
The Logistics Officer will support efficient logistics and supply chain operations by coordinating transportation, documentation, and delivery of goods, while ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate local and international transportation of goods
Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of materials and products
Prepare and manage shipping and delivery documentation
Maintain accurate logistics records, including delivery notes, invoices, DMCs, and reports
Coordinate with transporters and customs clearing agents
Track shipments and proactively resolve delays or delivery issues
Monitor logistics costs and support initiatives to improve efficiency
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Prepare periodic logistics performance reports
Support procurement and broader supply chain operations
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field
Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, warehousing, or transportation
Strong knowledge of logistics operations, inventory management, and transportation processes
Familiarity with shipping documentation and customs clearance procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word); experience with ERP or logistics systems is an added advantage
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation abilities
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
High level of integrity, attention to detail, and teamwork skills
