King Faisal Hospital Kigali is seeking a qualified and motivated professional to fill the position below:
POSITION
Occupational Therapist
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree (A0) in Occupational Therapy
Minimum of 2 years of working experience in a complex hospital setting
Demonstrated experience in Occupational Therapy practice
Experience in Neuro-Occupational Therapy (Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury, Cerebral Palsy, etc.) is an added advantage
Must be registered and licensed by the Health Professions Council of Rwanda (HPCR) as an Occupational Therapist
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Ability to deliver services effectively and efficiently to meet patient needs
Strong understanding of the impact of reduced mobility on functional performance, independence, and quality of life
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Teaching and management skills are an added advantage
Knowledge of health and safety standards is an added advantage
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments in line with established clinical guidelines
Develop and implement individualized therapeutic and corrective interventions to improve mobility, function, and quality of life
Apply expert knowledge of body mechanics, ranges of motion, and physical orientation to ensure safe patient care
Identify and report unsafe conditions or practices affecting patients or staff in accordance with hospital safety policies
Practice strictly within the approved scope of Occupational Therapy practice in Rwanda
Participate in monitoring and improving the quality of occupational therapy services within the hospital
Adhere to professional ethics, peer review, and credentialing requirements as set by regulatory bodies and hospital policy
Ensure accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and patient progress
