Position Overview

The Human Resource Associate will support the Human Resource and Social Impact Manager in recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and HR operations, while contributing to employee well-being and organizational culture.


Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment

  • Support the full recruitment lifecycle ensuring a positive candidate experience

  • Develop and manage job descriptions and job advertisements

  • Maintain recruitment databases and documentation

2. Onboarding

  • Develop onboarding plans for new employees

  • Assist in onboarding implementation

3. Training & Employee Development

  • Identify training and development needs

  • Coordinate training sessions and maintain training records

  • Evaluate the impact of training programs

4. Performance Management

  • Support HR projects and process improvements

  • Implement performance management systems including feedback, goal setting, and evaluations

5. HR Operations & Administration

  • Manage HR reporting and employee benefits administration

  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records

  • Support implementation of HR policies and ensure compliance with labor laws

  • Manage employee missions and administrative processes

  • Stay updated on HR trends and regulatory requirements

6. Culture & Employee Engagement

  • Support employee well-being programs

  • Promote a positive organizational culture

  • Collaborate with departments on team-building initiatives


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in:

    • Human Resource Management

    • Social Sciences

    • Or a related field

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role

  • Skills and competencies:

    • Strong understanding of Rwandan labor laws and HR practices

    • Ability to build effective working relationships

    • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills

    • Results-oriented with high integrity and work ethic

    • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

    • Ability to provide feedback and enforce policies

    • Passion for employee well-being and community development

    • Ability to work in a factory environment

  • Language requirements:

    • Fluent in English and Kinyarwanda

    • French is an added advantage
