Civil Engineer – Survey & Reality Capture Specialist

Role Purpose

The Civil Engineer will plan, execute, process, and deliver advanced surveying and reality capture services for mining, civil engineering, and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct topographic surveys, construction setting-out, and as-built surveys

• Execute SLAM scanning, terrestrial laser scanning, and drone-based LiDAR or photogrammetry (training will be provided)

• Establish and manage control networks, benchmarks, and Ground Control Points (GCPs)

• Process survey and scanning data into CAD, GIS, BIM, and 3D deliverables

• Ensure survey accuracy, QA/QC, and compliance with industry standards

• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and client deliverables

Qualifications & Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in:

  • Civil Engineering (Survey / Geomatics focus)

  • Geospatial Engineering

Additional advantages:

• Licensed or registered professional surveyor

• Membership in a professional engineering or surveying body

Technical Skills & Experience

• Familiar with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and survey processing software

• Experience using total stations, GNSS (RTK/PPK), and digital levels

• Knowledge of point cloud processing and photogrammetry software

• Experience with GIS platforms and spatial data management

• Relevant experience in surveying or geomatics projects

• Strong safety awareness and teamwork
