A Rwanda-based organization is seeking a Customer Care cum Accounts Assistant to support both customer service operations and basic accounting functions. This role is ideal for professionals who are comfortable handling customer interactions while also assisting with billing, receivables, and financial record-keeping.
Position Overview
The Customer Care cum Accounts Assistant will serve as a link between customers and internal departments while ensuring accurate invoicing, payment tracking, and accounting records. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and familiarity with Rwanda’s tax and accounting systems.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Care Functions
Respond to customer inquiries, complaints, and service requests through phone, email, and in-person interactions
Coordinate with sales, warehouse, and finance teams to resolve customer issues efficiently
Maintain up-to-date customer records and ensure timely follow-up on pending matters
Promote a high standard of customer satisfaction and service delivery
Accounts & Finance Support
Prepare and issue sales invoices using EBM V2 in compliance with Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) requirements
Maintain proper documentation for sales transactions, receipts, and customer accounts
Support accounts receivable follow-ups and customer payment tracking
Record financial transactions using QuickBooks Online
Assist with month-end closing activities and basic reconciliations
Prepare simple financial and operational reports using Microsoft Excel
Ensure organized filing and documentation for audits and internal reviews
Required Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
At least two (2) years of relevant experience in customer care and accounting roles
Practical working knowledge of EBM V2 (mandatory)
Experience using QuickBooks Online
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and basic data analysis
Previous experience working with Rwanda-based companies is an added advantage
Skills and Competencies
