GPI Rwanda is seeking a qualified, motivated, and committed candidate to fill the position below under the Child Sponsorship Program (CSP).
Position: Project Assistant (PA)
(Child Sponsorship Program & Office Operations)
Position Summary
The Project Assistant (PA) will support the effective implementation of the Child Sponsorship Program while also contributing to general office operations and administrative functions of the GPI Rwanda Country Office. The role requires close coordination with project staff, beneficiaries, schools, and local stakeholders to ensure accurate documentation, effective communication, and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Child Sponsorship Program (CSP) Support
Support planning, implementation, and monitoring of CSP activities in coordination with the Project Manager and Project Officer
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sponsored children, families, and program activities
Coordinate communication between GPI, beneficiaries, schools, and relevant stakeholders
Support field monitoring visits, data collection, and follow-up activities
Prepare periodic activity reports and supporting documentation
Office Operations and Administrative Support
Support day-to-day office operations, including filing, document management, and correspondence
Assist with internal coordination, meeting arrangements, and logistical support
Provide general administrative support related to project and office management
Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager or Project Officer
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field
Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience with an NGO, INGO, or development organization
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (knowledge of Kinyarwanda is an added advantage)
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and local communities
High level of integrity, accountability, initiative, and self-motivation
Salary
Salary will be commensurate with GPI’s internal regulations
